Melon said, “Let’s not worry about that too much. It’s something for the grown-ups to handle.” Noticing Adele’s attempt to lift his spirits, he shared the biscuits with her. “Let’s eat them together then.”
The following morning dawned early, and the tranquility of the villa was interrupted by the ring of the doorbell. Ariana, still in a groggy state, hadn’t fully awakened. She pushed aside the covers and patted Holden, signaling for Holden to go answer the door. Then, she rolled over, pulled the blanket over her head, and promptly went back to sleep.
Holden, who had spent the night on the sofa, dutifully rose without complaint to open the door. Standing outside was Shawn.
In a swift exchange, Shawn presented Holden with a new suit for him to wear and handed over the list of schedules.
Holden, accepting the items with a curt nod, said, “Alright, you can wait for me in the car.”
Shawn nodded and left without asking any further questions.
Holden then returned to the villa to freshen up and change into his newly acquired attire. When he returned, he observed Ariana, who was still asleep. A tender smile graced his lips as he leaned down to plant a gentle ki*s on her forehead. Straightening up, he happened to catch a mischievous glimpse of Melon, sneakily peeking at him from the staircase.
Holden chuckled and playfully waved at him.
Seeing Holden waving at him, Melon’s eyes lit up immediately. The little boy was so excited. He ran over as fast as he could and wrapped his arms around Holden’s legs, looking at Holden fondly.
They seemed to be so in tune with each other. They were both careful not to make any noise that might disturb Ariana in her sleep. Holden gently ruffled Melon’s hair and lifted him into his arms. He then carried the little boy to the dining room.
Once in the dining room, he placed the child at the table and headed towards the kitchen. In the kitchen, Holden quickly heated some milk and toasted a slice of bread. Soon, he came back with a simple breakfast. “Mom has a head injury. I need you to remind Mom to apply the medicine in time, okay?” he said gently to Melon as he put the food in front of him.
Hearing what Holden said, Melon straightened up and saluted with a serious expression. “Yes, sir.”
Looking at Melon’s serious expression, Holden couldn’t help but smile.

Holden was about to tell Melon that he was his father when he remembered what Ariana had said last night. He decided to respect her decision and stopped himself. He would first deal with Sadie thoroughly. Once he was done with her, he could tell the truth to Melon.
Having made up his mind, Holden said, “I will prepare breakfast for you and Adele and bring it to your room.”
Melon was so happy that his face shone with a bright smile.
Holden then began to prepare breakfast for the kids. Once he had arranged everything, he left the villa and drove to the company.
Upon arriving at the company, Holden caught sight of Devin, who had been waiting for him.
Devin also saw Holden, and he immediately walked over. “Sir, Miss Pierre has been waiting for you in the office for quite some time,” he said respectfully.
